Afghan Amputee Bicyclists for Rehabilitation and Recreation (AABRAR) is a local Afghan non-government organization that is concerned with the rehabilitation and socio-economic integration of disabled people and other vulnerable groups into the community.
In its inception in 1992, AABRAR began a bicycle-training program for amputees to improve mobility and increase their independence, enabling them to travel to and from work, and save on transportations costs. Since then, AABRAR has expanded its activities

Experience

AABRAR has a history of more than 2 decades managing effective development program for vulnerable and people with disabilities in Afghanistan. AABRAR has two main operational centers in Kabul and Jalalabad each one employs approximately 40 staff and sub-offices in 17 provinces namely, Laghman, Kunar, Nooristan, Kapisa, Parwan, Panjsher, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, Balkh, Samangan, Ghazni, Paktika, Paktiya, Khost, Logar and Kandahar to run a range of project activities for men and women.
