My name is Sayed Kamal and I am a member of Sayed Abad district developmental assembly. Mr. Darya Khan, the director of Sayed Abad DDA informed me about this training opportunity. He told me that, DDA members had a meeting in Sayed Abad district and wants to discuss regarding a project with DDA members.
However, I attended the meeting so the director told us that, an organization with the name of AABRAR is going to conduct 6 days project management training and 4 days practical work and technical assistance for Sayed Abad DDA members, all of the DDA members were interested with this program. I was also interested to participate in this training so the council selected me for the mentioned training as well.
On 10th April 2012,the project management training started in Tibal and Boundaries’ directorate of Maydan Wardak Province.
I participated in many other capacity building programs in Sayed Abad, but this program was quite new for me and I didn’t know about the topics of the mentioned training so I was very much curious about it.
In the start of the training session, the trainers took a test from us in order to evaluate our level of understanding, in first test there was so difficult questions for me, I was not able to answers these question in proper way but after taking the workshop and answering to the questions in the post test, I had a lot of information and ideas about project management and project implementation.
The reason was that, the trainers taught us in a very good and proper way and they tried their level best to simplify each of the mentioned topics for us and trained us in very effective and good methods.
Besides this, the master trainers kept friendly environment and open discussionswere made among the trainees and trainers, as well as master trainers worked with us practically in the technical assistance session. Each of participants presented their group works and openly shared their ideas regarding project management in the session.
However, this was too effective, important and necessary training for the Sayed Abad DDA member and such efficient training in Maydan Shahr for the people of this province.
In addition, we as members of DDA will try our level best to forward our experience and lessons learnt from this training to other DDA members and to our peoples and I believe that, after this we are able to manage and implement small projects by ourselves in Sayed Abad district.
Finally, I would like to thank from the hard work of the master trainers, staff of AABRAR and from its supporting agency to provide such a good opportunity and beneficial trainings for the capacity building of DDA members thus supporting the vulnerable people of Maydan Wardak.
